My mother passed away from cancer 3 weeks ago the medical bills that accumulated before she passed is rediculous. I fear my father will soon follow neither has a will and they own thier home.My question is if he does pass before the medical bills are payed will they be able to take his home to cover what is owed. Re: Medical Bills

This situation needs a consultation with an estate attorney to review all facts, documents, deeds, a full accounting of all debts and assets etc. See an attorney.

In general, creditors get paid before beneficiaries in an estate, from estate assets.

We offer free, no obligation consultations at 480.835.1500. More facts need to be know to decide how to advise you.
