Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

my mother passed away December 2010. My sister was temporarily living with her, and has moved out in the last week. The will states that I am to receive everything, but my sister took all my mother's possessions when she moved because I was at work and couldn't supervise. How do I get my mother's possessions back?

You have to go to court and petition for appointment as personal representative (executor) of your mother's estate and present the will for probate. Then you have the legal authority to get the property back from your sister and you may have court orders to back you up. You should retain good legal counsel to lead you through this process. Perhaps, with a lawyer representing you, your sister will cave in, and give it all back without a fight.
