Power of Atty expiration
If full power of attorney is granted and the grantor (party who gave the poa) dies, does the poa expire and the will and probate take over at that time?

A POA expires on a person's death. At that point, the will becomes operative when the personal representative and his/her attorney admit it to informal or formal probate or follow other procedures allowed by law which may be appropriate in certain instances.

The authority under a power of attorney ceases at the moment the principal dies.
