Re: Trusts in Arizona
It has been almost 20 years since you prepared the trust, so in my opinion, there are certainly reasons to review the document to see if it still provides what you need and achieves the goals that you now want to achieve. The law has changed in AZ this year to adopt the Uniform Trust Code in AZ, but that alone does not require that you change your trust. I would like to consult with you to see what your needs and goals are today, to see if the trust accomplishes that and more important, to see if the successor trustee appointments are up to date and that the provisions are up to date in the case of your illness, incapacity and upon the passing of the first spouse to die and then the second spouse to die.

Much more information is needed here. Many people will want to make some changes due to the new Arizona Trust Code going into effect. I do not know any details about your trust. Tax laws have changed substantially since you did your trust. Family circumstances might have changed.
We offer free, no obligation consultations to review estate plans to see if they are still appropriate according to your needs and desires as well as the current law. You can arrange this at 480.835.1500. For more free information, see out blog at JenkinsLawCenter.blogspot.com
