no will need affidavit
Since my mother passed away, she has a bank account and the bank told me I need a affadavit to access her account. My question is if I get the forms and them notorized would it be legally accepatable for me to access her account.

As long as your mother's personal property, including the account are within the statutory limits, you can collect personal property by affidavit. You will need to determine if your mother's estate falls within the statutes for collection by affidavit.
