Re: will

Get an estate attorney to write a letter to the personal representative, or trustee as the case may be, requesting a copy of the will or trust, an accounting with opening inventory and all additions and disbursements, and information as to how and where the funds are being held.

Re: will

A few questions: How long ago did your grandfather pass away? Was a probate preceeding opened for the will? Who is the personal representative of the estate? Who is the trustee of the trust fund?

If a probate preceeding was opened for the will, a copy of the will could be available through the court. If there is a trust, as a beneficiary you're normally entitled to a copy of the trust and you can also request an accounting.
