Legal Question in Workers Comp in Arizona

hernia

I have had several abdominal surgeries in the past before starting my job with the us postal service and one after my first 8 months of employment. I have been great for the last 3 years. I went in for a cat scan for intestinal issues ( to make sure I didnt have another blockage) And in the ct scan, it shows I have a small tear in my abdomin wall. ( hernia ) Now,My last ct scan, which was a year after my last surgery, did not show any tear. I am constantly lifting heavy things at work and actually a month ago filed a workmans comp due to a dislocated rib. That is all better now, but, how do I know if this is a workmans comp problem or not. I have not said anything to my boss yet because my primary care Dr said it was not from work, but that doesnt make any sense. If 2 years ago, i had no opening in my abdomin and it had been a year since my last surgery, how can this not be due to heavy lifting at work and my last incident when I hurt myself from pushing and pulling something really heavy.

Re: hernia

This question should technically be rejected due to "wrong state," but LawGuru.com doesn't allow me to explain if I reject it. Your claim is covered by Federal Workers' Compensation law, not Arizona law. There are NO attorneys in Arizona practicing in that area. Lawyers from other states can help you, however, so I recommend that you use any Internet search engine to look for "Federal Workers' Compensation attorney". Good luck!
