Truck Driver injury?
Is the medical condition ''large thromboid hemorrhoids'' considered an eligible condition for workmen's compensation or disability. I'm a truck driver for 30+ years and need surgery. No health insurance and have been unable to work for last two weeks. Don't know where to turn.

Your specific diagnosis is not one that I've successfully argued over at the Industrial Commission, but there's a first time for everything! The basic rule is that, in order to even have a fighting chance, you need a doctor on your side. Your doctor must answer yes to this question: "To a reasonable degree of medical probability, did the work activities cause or contribute to the development of the condition?" So ask your doctor that question, and then you'll know if you have a case.
