Bankruptcy vs Court Awarded Judgement on Back Family Support
I have a Supreme Court order that reversed and remanded my case back to the law master with instructions. I was awarded a judgement for back support. and the interest and attorney fees were held in obeyence.my ex-husband filed chapter 13. will this get his out of paying what he owes to us? Thank You

Court ordered support payments are generally not dischargeable. However, should you receive notice of the bankruptcy, you need to contact a lawyer immediately. There are certain circumstances under which support can be discharged.
