Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Arkansas
filing bankruptcy jointly?
I am married now but in 98 I filed chapter 7 in OK. Now I think we both need to file since moving here from OK. I haven't been able to find job and we both acquired even more debt trying to make it on just his income. Who should file? Some credit cards are in my name only! I was thinking I can't file for like 10 years from the last time I filed. Is that true? If so, can my husband file even though 2 of the cards are in my name? Confusing, HUH???

Yes and no as to confusing ... you can file a chapter 7 every 6 years till dub-ya gets the new law through congress ...
You can file a chapter 13 any time pretty much. With the limited info you gave, I am thinking a joint 13 may be your answer.
I suggest that you give me a call at 479-582-5800 or toll free at 1-888-260-1800, and lets discuss your situation in detail and figure out what to do about it.
