Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Arkansas
mortgages
there was a judgment filed in court in 1999 against us. We purchased a home in 2001, filed bankruptcy in 2004 and named the co. with the judgment in our bankruptcy. Now we are trying to refinance our home and the lien still shows in court. Should that have not been taken off and/or how do we get it off now. Also, we refinanced over 2 years ago and the mortgage company didn't have a problem then. What are our options? Thanks

Re: mortgages
Without knowing all of the information it sounds as if the possibility exists that this is a market problem. As the market has dropped terribly over the past few years, especially in Ar. the availability of loans and funds for refinance may be much less available. The issue may have shown up before, but because of market conditions may not have been such a major problem... I would suggest you contact a diffrent lender, or broker, or contact an attorney near you regarding your potential options... MUCH LUCK!
