Doing business with a foreign counrty
Is there a law that prohibits the government from awarding contracts to a foreign based company when there is an American company that can do the work?

In some very specific cases, there are laws that require the contract to go to an American company. This is not the law in every case. It is just going to depend on what the contract is for, and whether there is a law or code favoring American companies.
