Can ex-employer sue my new business?
I'm thinking of starting a new business that is the same type as my current employer. Can I be sued for doing this? What if I compete for some current service agreements with their customers. I have not signed any type of or agreement forbidding this. What are my obligations and liabilities?

If you have not signed any agreement then you are free to compete. You may need to worry about converting intellectual property. Before you use any processes, systems, customer lists, or other intellectual property you should have an attorney review your plans and advise you.
