Can an S Corp own multiple franchises or does each franchise need to be placed in a separate entity (LLC or other S Corp)?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. In theory, a separate entity could own multiple franchises. This assumes the multiple franchises are of the same franchisor, and the terms of the franchise agreement(s) would also need to be considered. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney for specific advice.
