The hospital here is trying to garnish my wages and i recieved a phone call on a sunday from a man wanting to serve me with the papers is it legal to serve papers on a sunday

Yes. Papers can be served at any time so long as in a peaceful manner. Contact an attorney in your area with regards to the suit. You generally must file a responsive pleading within 20 days.
