Legal Question in Construction Law in Arkansas
Filed lawsuit, poss. bankrupcy.
Hi,
My husband and i have filed a lawsuit against a contractor who has left our home in terrible shape. 2 lawyers say we have a solid case. he is now selling his house and we are worried he will declare bankrupcy. Where will that leave us?

Basically, it could leave you as a creditor in the bankruptcy.
In the event he had insurance to cover his work, then you may be okay, because the bankruptcy would have no effect. Good luck.
