In 2007 had a credit card 300 dollar limit went into collections they served papers to a address I dnt live at anymore and left them with the new homeowner didn't get papers untill after the court date. Now it's 1300 dollars and I have thirty days to pay before garnishment. Is there anything I can do since I didn't sighn for papers or maybe settle for a lower amount?

Yes. File motion to set aside judgment for want of proper service. You'll probably need an attorney.
