Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arkansas

Court ruling period?

I have a Small Claims case pending as ''under advisement'' by the court. The case was heard over a month ago. The amount of the claim I filed was for just a little over two thousand dollars for services rendered by my company to the defendant. Plaintiff and Defendant were both represented in court by attorneys,(defendant not present).

My question is; Does the court have rules which would confine it to a period of time to make a ruling? This case has already been pending for almost three years from the time of filing.

Thank you

Re: Court ruling period?

The courts are not definitively confined to a time restriction. You can ask your lawyer if he has heard anything. Judges usually like to get cases over and off their dockets once they are completed, so I am sure you will get the ruling as soon as the judge finishes it.
