A credit card company has turned by account over to an attorney & I'm trying to find out if they can take my home & my Social Security/

Probably not on the house and no on the SS. Your home is subject to certain constitutional as well as federal bankruptcy exemption protections. You should visit with a consumer bankruptcy attorney in y our area.
