Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arkansas

Can a hospital turn me over to a collection agency because my ex didn't pay my daughter's hospital bill? I did not sign nor guarantee any payment for services nor did I ever receive a bill only a collections notice. however, I do provide the insurance?
