Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arkansas

Seller said ''paid in full'' now says ''oops I want more money''

Financier of Construction Equipment said we didn't owe as much as we said we owed. We questioned their figures. They said no, you only owe xx amount. We paid xx amount. They gave us contract marked paid in full. About one year later they say they made a mistake and now want money plus interest! What do we do?

If you have a contract marked paid in full, you should make a copy and send the copy to them. If they persist in trying to collect the money, you or your attorney, might want to prepare a nice, polite letter explaining why you believe you don't owe.

If they persist past this, or they attempt to get a court judgment against you, I would suggest getting an attorney to represent you and look over the contract and all the details.
