Self Defense Fight=Felony???

I have an order of protection against Sam.Court forgot to let the police know my order was xtended and valid for 6 mo.I called the police becasue Sam was harrassing me and coming over.The police came but Sam had already ran.Later that night I had to call the police again.Sam said he had keys to get in my house and had left messages saying he would kill me.I called the police and they said theres nothing they could do unless he showed up again but they didn't have a record of my oop.I called court next day it was valid,and they let police know.After Sam showed up again that night he unlocked my door and ran,I called my bro and asked him to get keys back.My bro asks about keys, Sam swings first.My bro punches Sam and breaks bones in his face now Sam is saying he talked to a pros and my bro could face fel charge.Is that possible,isn't it the county's fault for not notifying the police about my order of protection?

Court may or may not notify them, it is irrelevant. You should hae a copy of the order. Give it to them. Also if he is making death threats, file a new action and talk to the prosecutor, not the cops.
