Is a felon allowed to hunt with either a bow or gun during deer season

The quick answer, is that absent a pardon or a waiver from the federal government, a felon cannot be in possession of a firearm under federal law - that is a separate federal felony.
As to bow hunting, you need to check with an attorney licensed in your State, as that will depend on your law there. Sorry that I can't answer that for you.
