Possession With Intent To Manufacture

criminal case consisting of charges of: Possession with intent to manufacture. Public Defender was accepted and ''not guilty'' plea entered. Why were 3 different ''next'' court dates given and the next appearance is called ''OMNIBUS HEARING'', what is this and what does it mean in regard to the defendant?

Re: Possession With Intent To Manufacture

You have an omnibus setting, a pre-trial and a trial. The omnibus is where the judge checks to see that both sides are providing discovery as ordered. The pre-trial is where you have an opportunity to ask for suppression of evidence or other similar motions, and the trial is where you get yur day in court. At any of these, you can enter into a plea bargan.

Now then ... I suggest that you hire an Attorney who will sit down and discuss each of these and also all of the other details of your case with you, becuase at this point, you should have never had to ask the question!
