Sueing Dependent
If a 20 year old is on his parents car and health insurance, etc., and is being sued, will his parents be forced to pay money he cannot afford?

There is no way to give a definitive answer without more facts; it depends on the circumstances surrounding the lawsuit.
If he is being sued as a result of a car wreck (and the car is in your name) then it is possible, but you will also be named in the lawsuit.
If it is something like credit card debt, then the parents will not be liable, unless they have co-signed for the debt.
The best option is to contact an attorney in your area to evaluate the facts of your case.
