Legal Question in Education Law in Arkansas
What To Do?
My son was paddled at school and they left bruises the size of grapefruits. Took him to the emergency room and he had messed up a ham string in his leg, he is on crutches now. I need some advice because the school isn't gonna do anything about it.

Re: What To Do?
Did you make a report to the State Division of Child and Family Services. There should be a hotline to report child abuse. If they left those and damaged his hamstring, its child abuse and should be reported. If you have not done so, you should make a report as soon as possible.
Although our law firm does not routinely practice in Arkansas, there are a number of excellent attorneys in the Little Rock area who would be well-placed to handle such a case. The Strong Law Firm in Springfield, Missouri, also has Arkansas attorneys on staff and might be in a position to help you.
In terms of advice, I would need additional information, including what, if anything, your son was alleged to have done wrong, and how many times he was hit. Did he have an opportunity for a hearing in front of a neutral fact finder?
There are a number of potential theories against the school board and against the person who administered the discipilne, and you really need an attorney to hear all the facts and circumstances before he gives you advice.
Please consult an attorney as quickly as possible.
