child custody modification
I have joint custody of son. I am primary. dependency neglect case filed against me. found to be untrue. my son is in arkansas with grandma.Ex-husband does not have a home for my son. They are wanting me to have supervised visitation.I am in Texas with my family. How long does a modification take and will my son have to stay in the state of arkansas until then?

A modification takes however long there is disagreement. When an agreement is submitted to the court, then there is immediate resolution. When there is not agreement, then the case can take as long as until the court forces the parties to a final hearing. In the interim, there can be temporary orders which affect cconservatorship and visitation. It is not unusual to use temporary orders to effect a necessary change in residence.
