Legal Question in Family Law in Arkansas

Child Support and Custody

Husband says he won't make me pay child support if I give him custody of child. I don't want to give custody, but he would make my life torturuous if i did, and the child's. I am a homemaker. My question: Is this ok with the courts, if he says i don't need to do pay the support? Would i need to sign a special form?

Thank you

Re: Child Support and Custody

Child support is a right of the child, not the parent. Under the law, a parent cannot negotiate it away and the Court will not allow it. He is feeding you a line, I suspect because her does not want to pay it. You need an Atty to listen to instead of a soon to be X who is telling you what he wants you to hear.
