Legal Question in Family Law in Arkansas

Child Support/Arkansas

my retirement pay is garnished for child support payments. My statement reads that the deduction is indefinite. My last daughter turned 18 in March and will graduate H.S. on 5/26/07. How can I get the date to stop payment corrected because child support should not be indefinite. Clearly, someone filed it incorrectly, but why should I have to pay to correct it from 2001.

Re: Child Support/Arkansas

If the expiration is set out in child support order, you should be able to use it to have the garnishment terminated. If not, then you will need to petition the court to end the support.
