children kept from seeing mother

what do i do when i cant afford an attourny to see my children. my x husband used an accident i had to get temp coustdy of my kids. i had weekend visitation he got mad and refused me to see my kids. now i havent seen or talked to them in 6 months and my x gave them to his parents to live they are not being cared for the way they diserve. i need my children i want to take care of them,. where they are they are not being loved just baby sitted
