Legal Question in Family Law in Arkansas

Fiencea owes me money.

I have been with my fiencea for 4 and 1/2 year. I let him borrow money to pay off credit cards, put downpayments on rv, and motorcycles, as well as pay for his credit card payments monthly that he was short of. I have all the canceled checks, that are in my name, and he was to pay this back, well he has left me broke, and called me a easy con, and says he is not going to pay me back. Is there anything I can do?

I would have to have some more information.

You may be able to get a judgment against him for the loan. That depends on several things, including whether he comes to court to contest it.

Then, if you get the judgement, will you be able to collect anything? Does he have anything of value, such as cash, car, house, etc.? If he's been borrowing from you, he may not have anyting to pay off your judgment with (assuming that you could get one).

I hope this helps some. You may want to retain an attorney to help you with this, if you plan on pursuing this debt.
