Legal Question in Family Law in Arkansas

What if the marriage license was not recorded?

My husband and I were married seven years ago. I just found the marriage license and everything was signed except for the date of recording. I assumed the pastor had taken it and don't remember him giving it back to me. Could there be two copies and he took one to be recorded? What should I do at this point? If the marriage wasn't recorded, will we have to get remarried or just purchase a new license? Can they issue a new license with the actual date of marriage? We have three children, a home, etc. This is very disturbing. Please help! Thank you!

Go down to the clerk of Court and find out before going into a panic.
