Legal Question in Family Law in Arkansas

Marriage

I married an illegal and am wondering since he is illegal in this country if my marriage is legal.We are wanting to get a divorce and if the marriage is not legal i don't want to spend the money it costs for a divorce uncontested with no children or property involved.I need an answer to this as soon as you can help me .We have been married n3 years.
