My ex is not paying his half of our child's dental expenses (which is court ordered)and I have spoken to him and his wife, but nothing is getting done, what can I do to convince him to pay his half?

Re: medical expenses of minor child not paid by ex

If he was ordered to pay (you need to read your Final Decree of Divorce), then send him a certified letter along with a confirming copy by first class mail with an itemized list of all outstanding medical bills, proof you paid the bill and a copy of the doctor's bill.

If the cert. copy comes back to you, DO NOT OPEN IT!

Give him a deadline (say 30 days to begin to make payments). If you have not heard from him after 30 days, then you need to file contempt on him and let the Judge tell him to pay you.

The Judge might order him to pay some of your attorney fees, but only the Judge can make this ruling.
