Legal Question in Family Law in Arkansas

Third Party effect on child custody matters

I am a custodial parent living in AR. My significant other is in the process of getting a divorce. I have received permisson (at this time only verbally) from the father of my child to cohabitate with my friend after his divorce is final. He wants the child to remain in my custody because that is what the child wants. My friend's wife is threatening to do everything in her power to see that my child is taken away from me to get revenge. What can she really do? If my friend starts to live with us before the divorce is final, does it change what she is able to do?

Also, what steps do I need to take to document my child's father's agreement to this arrangement?

Re: Third Party effect on child custody matters

Without considering the legalities of the matter (and for that I encourage you to consult an Arkansas attorney -- some of your questions will depend on Arkansas law and some will depend specifically on the particular judge involved)... but the real question here is why would you want to expose your child to living with a married man?
