Property dispute
My friend's mother died and left some property that was sold and the profits are to be distributed among the children. My friend's husband says that legally he has a right to the money that she will get from the sale. Is this correct? Or is the money hers?

The heir would be the one entitled to the money. That sounds like it would be your friend.
Are her and her husband divorcing? Are they trying to split up what they have? I'm not sure what the argument between the two of them would be unless it has something to do with a divorce. If there is a divorce, she needs to discuss this with her divorce attorney.
