You have an absolute rigth to represent yourself in court. HOWEVER, when you do you are expected to know rules and procedures that lawyers know. If you don't then you need to get a lawyer. You can perform your own surgery but it is not usually advisable. Attorneys cannot tell you how to do it yourself as that would be giving legal advice and we are prohibited from giving legal advice to a client and then not putting our name on court papers. You might be able to find a non-lawyer to help you but they would be breaking the law by praticing law without a license and it would be ill advised to take legal advice from a non-lawyer. If money is the issue call legal services in your area or shop around town for an inexpensive attorney-yes they do exist.
