restraining order and child custody

my daugther a single mother living with the child' father. they have been having problems and she has been working and he stays at home with their son. She was planning on leaving him and they had been arguing and he was getting violent with her and he turned it around and got a restraining order and to also keep her away from her son. how much pull does this have to keep her away from her son they are not married ? What should she be looking to do to get her child back? I am a mom and grandma many miles away not knowing what i can do to help her out from up hear . the date for the restraining order is way out there April 27th she needs to get her son back before that. do you know of any place she can go or what she can do to get her son back sooner? please help me with internet things i might be able to help her with. Thank you for all your help. also with the tough times my money is tight and so is my daughters she is 19 years old.
