What are my rights for charges?

What are the possibilities of ex employees that I worked for as a nanny and hoousekeeper bring charges against me for being a drug addict while working for them?I am now clean for 8mths and told them that I used drugs while working for them and they fired me.Can they charge me with any thing?

I only see two possibilities, both remote, especially since 8 months have passed and there are no other relevant facts surrounding your drug use. 1. They could bring a civil action against you for harm to the children under your care. You didn�t mention any examples where the children were effected by your use of drugs. 2. They could report you to the local police department. Normally, if this were done, the police would contact you if they were going to pursue an investigation. After 8 months I would be surprised if a police department took any action. Good Luck.
