Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arkansas
Applying for Citizenship
I married a US citizen in 1999, we applied for citizenship in 2000. A letter requesting us to come for interview but we were separated at that time. We are back together again and she is wanting to help me get a green card or citizenship.
Q. 1 Can we reopen the I-485 application.? If so, how?
Q. 2 If not. Do I file a new I-130 and I-487 together with all the supporting documents. Thank you

Re: Applying for Citizenship
I don't know if you will be able to reopen the case and it may actually be more of a headache to do so than simply file again. Now if your husband is a citizen and you are in a bona fide marriage you should be able to file for your green card (citizenship will have to wait a few years). Feel free to give me a call and I can spend a few minutes to go over your case with you.

You need to file new I-130 and i-485. Filing fee is $1010
