Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arkansas

immigration

My British boyfriend has overstayed his (visiting) visa waiver by 4 weeks. Can we get married now. If we do will he get deported. If not, how long do I have before I have to file proof of support. I am self employed and have to file my taxes. I make plenty of money

Re: immigration

You can marry without worry that it will trigger deportation. You will, however, want to be ready to file the immigrant visa and to adjust his status as soon as possible following the marriage date. If you would like assistance with this please contact my office. I will look forward to hearing from you.

Re: immigration

It depends on where you live and the policies current at the time of interview. If he were to be denied, he'd end up in removal proceedings and have to depart to apply. In LA it's not so bad all the time.
