Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arkansas
I am in love with an illegal alien. His Visa has expired. I also have past felony convictions. Are we allowed to marry? My main concern is my past conviction that is NOT drug related.

If he entered legally but overstayed his visa, and if you are a U.S. citizen, then you can petition him for U.S. legal permanent residency once you marry. Your criminal history should not be relevant to his case, but any criminal history of his own will be. I recommend you seek legal representation with this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Good luck!
