Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arkansas
I am a U S citizen and plan to marry a non-citizen from Mexico. We met three years ago while I was in Mexico. What do we need to do and what status does he need to obtain?
We would like to marry in June.

If you are not married, then you can do a fiance visa (K-1); but you must have met in person in the last two years.
You file the fiance visa in the U.S. and once approved it will be sent to the U.S. consulate in Mexico where your fiance goes for his interview and will have his passport stamped to allow him to enter the U.S. under a K-1 visa.
You must marry within 90 days of entering the U.S. and then you can file for his greencard.
Best of luck to you guys.
