The filing of an application for registration of a copyright can now done electronically for a reduced fee of $35 per registration. It is done at the Copyright Office at copyright.gov. However, you would be prudent, smart and well advised to have this done by a copyright attorney the first time or two so you get it right. Once you understand the process fully and what to submit with the form, you can do them yourself with reasonable competence and confidence. The forms are deceptively easy, so be careful and don't deceive yourself into taking the penny-wise, pound-foolish approach of doing the first one yourself.
