Publishing a Book of Photos of Unidentified Individuals
For the last thirty years I have traveled all over the United States and have photographed both people and places. I would like to publish some of my photos of individuals in book form, but I have no names to go with them and no permission releases. My photos were all taken in public places, were not taken in private photo sessions, and are in no way offensive in content. Is there any reason that I should not assemble my photography book and submit it for publication?

Without more, you should be the copyright owner of the photos you have taken, especially since the photos were taken in public places.
However, you may be infringing on the rights of others (buildings can now be copyrighted, taking a likeness of another, etc).
