Legal Question in Employment Law in Arkansas

I was offered and accepted a position in Arkansas, they sent me the offer letter to sign and return to them. 5 days later they came back and said the job had been posted incorrect and the salary and benefits in the offer letter were no longer good. It was presented as a take it or leave it scenario and they said that the offer letter has no legal bearing. Is this true?
