Legal Question in Employment Law in Arkansas

payroll

I work for a hotel in Blytheville, AR and my employer subtracted a half hour, for lunch, off of the hours I actually worked. He never told me about lunches or breaks. My question is is that legal? I worked, for example. 3.5 hours in one day, without a lunch. He subtracted .5 for lunch. Is that legal?

Re: payroll

Generally, this type of conduct is not legal. An employer is required to pay you for each hour worked. If this is not done, you have a complaint for unpaid wages.
