Legal Question in Employment Law in Arkansas
threatening behavior
I was in a meeting with an employee of another company. He had been rude from the beginning of the meeting. When it finally became obvious to him that I was offended by his behavior, he asked what was wrong with me. I told him I thought he was being rude to me. At this time, he slammed the papers we were working on together down on his desk, came around to where I was sitting by the door, forcibly slammed the door, bumping my chair with his body and said, ''I'm going to straighten you out right now!'' I stood up and said ''I think I need a witness''. I walked into another office to ask my supervisor to come into the room. We were both taken to a separate office with our supervisors to discuss the incident. They laughed about the incident and brushed it off as opposite personalities. We were told not to discuss it again. The next day at work, mu supervisor told me that he felt the incident had compromised working relations between our two companies and he felt I should resign. I told him that I would not resign. Since this conversation 8 days ago, he has completely ingored me, took responsibilities away from me and instructed co-workers not to speak to me. What legal rights do I have?

Re: threatening behavior
What was the subject matter of the original dispute? What did he do that offended you?
I need to know the answer to those questions before I can begin to answer your question.
