Legal Question in Employment Law in Arkansas

Unjustified Termination

I have been working for a fire department a a firefighter and recently fired without due process or any opportunity to defend myself. Someone told the chief that I had run to work with my lights and siren going in an attempt to clear lanes of traffic when I was running late to work. I never did anything like that and there is absolutly no proof of it. I was under the impression that I have the right to confront my accussers. What are my rights here.

Re: Unjustified Termination

Do you have civil service protection? Does your department have policies and procedures for disciplinary processes? Have others been treated differently from you?

You may have rights depending on the facts and circumstances surrounding your situation.
