wrongful termination

Is it lawful to be terminated from your job because you got into a physical altercation with another employee whom throw the first punch and they are allowed to keep their job? This happened one year ago. Do I have a case?

I would need more information to accurately answer your question. What type of company were you working for, such as private business or government? What type of employment agreement or contract did you have? Who fired you? Were there any witnesses to the incident? You might have a case but not enough to go from what you have written so far.
